Transfer Parent and Family Orientation is a specially designed one day orientation program for parents and family members of new transfer Rutgers students. This day long program will include helpful sessions hosted by a variety of Rutgers University offices and departments, a student panel, resource fair and optional walking tour. Registration fee includes refreshments, catered lunch, Rutgers family-themed giveaways, and a parking permit. Please note that all Parent and Family Orientation programs are separate from the New Student Orientation programs.
Due to space limitations, only
family members per student are permitted to attend. Each family member attending orientation must have an individual ticket.
Please note that online ticket sales close at noon one week before the orientation program date
. Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis and cannot be guaranteed at the door if not purchased in advance. Tickets will be
at the door if space permits.
Tickets are also non-refundable and non-transferable.
Due to the topics and format of the program, it is not recommended for children. If a child must attend with parents, children under the age of 10 do not need to purchase a ticket. Please select the "Child - 10 Years Old or Under" ticket type above.
Additional information on the Parent and Family Orientation session will be emailed to registered attendees one week prior to the program date. General orientation program information can be found at
